Harissa Yogurt Sauce (~22 Cal / 2 Tbsp)

·189 words·1 min

The miso deepens the harissa in a way that more harissa cannot. It adds a probiotic, savory undertone that makes the sauce taste richer without adding meaningful calories. This is the go-to drizzle for harissa shrimp and egg muffins.

Why these ingredients
White miso provides probiotics, manganese, and umami – it deepens the harissa flavor profile. Dulse flakes replace salt with iodine, potassium, and iron. Ginger adds gingerols for anti-inflammatory support.

Ingredients
#

  • 1 cup Chobani zero sugar plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp harissa paste
  • 1/2 tsp white miso
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp dulse flakes
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/8 tsp xanthan gum

Instructions
#

  1. Add yogurt, harissa, white miso, lemon juice, cumin, dulse, and ginger to a bowl.
  2. Stir until completely smooth.
  3. Add 1/8 tsp xanthan gum. Stir until it reaches drizzle consistency.
